FREEDOM IN CHRIST COURSE
Starting Wednesday 16th January

The 13-week Freedom in Christ course has been used by thousands of churches in the UK to help Christians become fruitful disciples. The course deals with life's issues in a very practical and sensitive way. Many Christians, young and old, come with heavy loads of emotional baggage and through the course people's lives have been transformed.

We will be studying this course in our support groups from 16th January and the preceding Sunday morning sermon will relate to each session (if you would like to join the course but are not in a support group please see Revd Richard - one group meets in the Church Centre and three others meet in homes).

An integral and important part of the course is an 'away day' at Christ Church on Saturday 16th March.

OPEN DOOR - Drop-in Cafe

Tuesday mornings: 9.00 - 1.00 p.m.

Open Door is a time when Christ Church will be open and anyone from the community can come and have a chat over a cup of coffee/tea. The intention is that relationships will be built up and support offered through signposting. Please pray for this time as we seek to help those who are lonely and vulnerable. Each week we start with a 'thought for today' from 9.00-9.30 a.m.

Messy Church

Messy Church is an all-age form of church for children and adults with crafts, a short celebration time with story and songs and food. It is free and there is no need to book - just come along - but children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session. Each session is held on the 2nd Saturday of every month

Come and See

A new monthly 'come and see' evangelistic outreach service with opportunities for personal prayer ministry will soon start on a Saturday evening at Christ Church. Please think about who you might be able to invite to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and be touched by the Holy Spirit. Please also pray for this new initiative

PRAYER at Christ Church

Every Tuesday evening from 7.30 – 8.30 p.m. we meet in the downstairs room in the Church Centre to pray. This prayer time is an important part of our corporate church life as we are in a spiritual battle - so please make every effort to come along and seek God's face. During the evening some of us also go out prayer walking around Matchborough.

"If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land. I will listen to every prayer made in this place, for I have chosen this Temple and set it apart to be my home forever. My eyes and my heart will always be here" (2 Chronicles 7:14-15)

There is also an opportunity to pray every Sunday morning at 10.00 a.m. in the Prayer Room before the Morning Worship service

Support Groups

Support Groups are small groups meeting in someone's home on Wednesday evenings for fellowship and Bible study. We currently have four groups meeting and if you would like to join one please see Revd Richard
